while traveling solo

in the summer of 2024, i was solo traveling in bergen, norway. my hostel was pretty unsocial, but i still wanted to meet people — that's usually why i stayed in hostels in the first place.

meeting people while traveling is one of the most beautiful things in the world to me. it creates a unique environment that speeds up deep friendships and creates core memories. i'd experienced this magic on past solo trips and wanted to make the process of meeting people while traveling more efficient, safe, and fun — so more people could experience it too.

i got back from that trip and immediately quit my job to build this app. i've dedicated my life to building and growing it ever since, fueled by the belief that no one should have to travel alone unless they want to.
